Pamela Anderson: ‘I’ve had many failures’
Pamela Anderson has admitted that she has had many failures throughout her career.
The 42-year-old actress has revealed that despite having many television shows cancelled or ignored for pilots by network executives, she has insisted that taking charge of her career has been the most valuable lesson learned.
Speaking to Marie Claire, Anderson said: “I’ve had lots of things that didn’t work out, like TV shows. You learn a lot through mistakes – I learned that you have to be the captain of your ship. Actually, I own my ship.”
As for the best career advice she has ever received, Anderson added: “I’m known for my handwritten notes. Sometimes I get little letters from [Hugh] Hefner. He’ll say, ‘I’m so proud of you’. A note from Hef, it means a lot.”

Axed ‘Ugly Betty’ cast ‘in demand’
The cast of Ugly Betty are reportedly ‘in demand’ following the show being axed by ABC.
Following a run of poor ratings and an unsuccessful move to a Wednesday night slot, the Alphabet network announced that it would not be renewing the show for a fifth run.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, castmembers including Eric Mabius, Becki Newton, Vanessa Williams, Michael Urie and Ana Ortiz have piqued the interest of several casting directors.
“The networks and casting directors in Hollywood are looking very closely at the casts that have or will become available on shows like Dollhouse, Ugly Betty, Nip/Tuck, Three Rivers and Lost and bubble shows like Scrubs and Better Off Ted to cherry-pick actors,” casting executive Marc Hirschfeld said.
Reports suggest that the show’s leading lady America Ferrera may not be open to another series as she is considering focusing on features full-time.
Mila Kunis ‘worked retail during 70s Show’
Mila Kunis has praised her mother for forcing her to keep her job at a drugstore after she landed the role of Jackie on That ’70s Show.
According to WENN, the actress doesn’t regret a second of the experience because it helped her remain humble.
“My mother made me work at Rite-Aid, because my parents work full-time. I worked at ’70s on Laurel and Ventura and I couldn’t drive because I wasn’t 16 yet, so my mother would come on her lunch break and pick me up from work,” Kunis explained.
She continued: “But she didn’t have time to drop me off back home, so I would have to go to work with her, and what did I do for six hours? My mother would put me behind the photo or ice cream counter and made me work.”
The star, whose parents immigrated from the Ukraine when she was a child, affirmed that she is very proud of the job they did raising her, adding: “My parents did a fantastic job raising me. I cannot even begin to explain the stuff they made me do. My parents really made me have a regular life.”

“I opened it, and she had two huge bags of junk food and home-made cookies, Snickers and soda. She put it on the table, put her laptop on and we made a video, and she said, ‘Selena, this way we are going to look forward to getting our hearts broken, because we know we will get junk food from the other person!’.”

Simon Cowell Offers Susan Escape Break
Simon Cowell has offered to pay for Susan Boyle to have a luxury holiday.
The 48-year-old star was left shaken after returning to her home in West Lothian, Scotland on Tuesday (26.01.10) to find an intruder in the property, prompting the music mogul to insist he would provide the cash for an all-expenses paid break to help her get over the ordeal.
But Susan said she’d rather stay at home with her cat Pebbles.
A source said: “Simon had a lengthy chat with her and said he would do anything to help. He offered her a wonderfully relaxing holiday to get away from everything.
“She said it was a sweet offer but wanted to stay at home and, if she changed her mind, she would call him.”
The ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ singer had been recording vocals for Simon’s Haiti charity single before heading back home to find the man halfway up her stairs.
Upon being discovered the startled intruder ran past the scared music star.
A friend said: “Susan got home to find an intruder halfway up her stairs. She was with another female, who was dropping her off, and only expected to be with her for a couple of minutes – but it is just as well she was.”
Multi-millionaire Simon has also reportedly hired an Edinburgh-based security firm to provide round-the-clock protection for Susan – who shot to fame after finishing runner-up on his talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
